Prof. Khalid Alqahtani's Award
Prof. Khalid Al-qahtani is the patron of two awards given at the annual conference of the Saudi Otorhinolaryngology Society (SORL). The winners of the Fellows Competition and the Best Teacher Award.
The society puts value on a number of things, one of which is recognizing the research work of our fellows. As a result, we are holding the fellows competition and choosing the three individuals with the best papers and presentations.
A great teacher is unquestionably expected if we have outstanding residents. As a result, we are pleased to recognize the top educator from the pool of candidates.
Dr. Saad Asiri's Award
The best resident research article presented at each Saudi ORL Society annual conference receives the Dr. Saad Asiri Award.
The resident’s competition is a component of the society’s annual conference. All GCC citizens who submit one (1) paper within the period for abstract submission are eligible to participate in this competition. Paper submitted later than allowed won’t be accepted.
The conference organizers designate a panel of judges to assess the papers presented during the conference. The candidates will have an advantage if the submission comes with a complete text paper.
Dr. Asiri also presented awards to five students who took part in and gave presentations at the previous SORL conference in Riyadh. The judging standards are the same as for the residents competition. The top 5 students who will speak at the conference in Madina will get the same awards.
Ihsan female Award
The Women's Excellence Award was established in the field of Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine as part of the Vision 2030 objectives. It aims to empower and advance the status of women, encouraging their participation in national development across various areas such as scientific, professional, cultural, economic, and social domains. The award recognizes the exceptional achievements of Saudi female doctors, their advanced surgical expertise, rare micro-disciplines, as well as their contributions as researchers, academics, and speakers in both international and local conferences. The Saudi Society for Ear, Nose, and Throat seeks to support the Saudi government's efforts in realizing the Vision 2030 objectives, particularly in the empowerment of women through recognition and support programs.
The "Ihsan" Award for Female Doctors Distinguished in Medicine and Surgery Ear, Nose, and Throat aims to honor exceptional female doctors in this specialization for their efficiency, generosity, contributions, and achievements at professional, community, and humanitarian levels.
